FLIR AutoCal Lenses
The FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera is available with a range of FLIR AutoCal Lenses. Each of these lenses is optimised for a different purpose:
- 14°, 29mm lens: a telephoto lens with a narrow field-of-view facilitating precise focus and crisp imaging of distant targets
- 24°, 17mm lens: provides a 24° x 18° FOV allowing the user to remain at a safe distance from energised equipment whilst providing a crisp focus when viewing smaller targets
- 42°, 10mm lens: this wide-angle lens provides a large FOV allowing the user to gather maximum information in a single image; this is ideal when inspecting buildings and roofs
- 80°, 5mm Lens: delivers an ultra-wide field-of-view allowing inspectors to capture large targets and/or inspect in tight spaces

The FLIR AutoCal Lenses are interchangeable. The FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera will auto-calibrate to accommodate the attached lens, ensuring that it will deliver high-quality images and precise thermal measurements.

FLIR FlexView DFOV Lens
FLIR’s FlexView Dual Field of View Lens allows you to survey sites and take precise temperature measurements without changing lenses. At the push of a button, you can switch from a wide-view 24° lens to a 14° telephoto lens. In addition to this, the FLIR FlexView DFOV Lens makes it possible to place 2.8x pixels on your target using optical zoom. The FLIR FlexView DFOV Lens saves you time and space. It lowers your risk of missing anomalies and allows you to perform efficient, accurate inspections.
Thermal Imaging
The FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera has a thermal sensitivity of 30mk (at 30°C with a 42° lens) and an IR resolution of 320x240px which provides up to 76 800 measurement points. The FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera can measure temperatures to an accuracy of ±2%/2°C and supports the following temperature ranges:
- -20°C to +120°C
- 0°C to +650°C
Using the FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera’s UltraMax® Enhancement function, the user can increase the number of measurement points to 307 200. This function captures a series of radiometric thermal images in quick succession which are combined using FLIR’s UltraMax® algorithm and a FLIR analysis software program. This does not compromise the radiometric data. The UltraMax® function improves the FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera’s distance-to-spot ratio and is especially useful when analysing small or distant components.
In addition to the UltraMax® Enhancement function, the FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera includes an MSX® Image Enhancement function which overlays visual details onto thermal images. This improves the thermal image’s depth and clarity which makes it easier for the user to identify the source of faults. Visual images are captured via the FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera’s integrated 5MP visual camera with a fixed focus and LED light.
The FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera also includes imaging tools such as a 1-4x continuous digital zoom, three spotmeters (in live mode), and three area meters (in live mode).
The user can also sketch onto thermal images via the FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera’s 640x480px touchscreen display. Images and videos can be saved with a GPS tag, voice annotation and/or on-screen text. This allows the user to begin building reports on the FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera. This infrared imager is also compatible with FLIR’s Thermal Studio (included) and Thermal Studio Pro (NOT included) analysis and reporting software programs.
Radiometric, IR and visual images and footage can be saved to the FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera’s 8GB SD card. Radiometric images are saved as JPEG files. Radiometric, IR and visual footage can also be streamed; to this end the FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera supports a Wi-Fi interface which allows the user to connect to a smartphone or tablet.
Communication Interfaces & METERLiNK Compatibility
In addition to a Wi-Fi interface, the FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera supports USB, Bluetooth and DisplayPort interfaces.
The FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera is also METERLiNK compatible which means it can be connected to other FLIR tools such as clamps and multimeters. Data gathered using these tools can be saved alongside thermal footage and images.
Ergonomic Design
The FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera features a simple folder and naming structure which makes it easier for the user to recall saved files. Also adding to the FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera’s ease of use is its fast-responding touchscreen display, practically placed menu buttons, and intuitive user interface. Furthermore, its pistol-shaped design means the FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera can be operated using a single hand.
The FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera is suitable for use in rugged environments: it has been drop-tested from 3m (6.6ft).
Additionally, the FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera has a typical battery life of over 2.5 hours.
Inspection Route Camera Function
Inclusion of FLIR’s exclusive Inspection Route Camera function is particularly useful to thermographers who perform a large number of inspections regularly. It guides the user through a pre-planned inspection route ensuring that he/she gathers images and data at specified inspection points. Images and data are automatically organised by the FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera.
The thermographer can design his/her inspection route using the Route Creator Plug-in for FLIR’s Thermal Studio Pro Software (NOT included). He/she can add an unlimited number of inspection points which may be organised for maximum efficiency.
